Please join us for a Celebration of Life and joyful afternoon in honor of Kevin &ldquo;Lono&rdquo; Lang.
&nbsp;
We will gather at Castlewood Canyon State Park starting at 2:00 PM. Come whenever you can, stay as long as you'd like. We&rsquo;ll spend the afternoon filling the sky with kites, sharing our favorite stories, and playing the music Kevin loved.

We are celebrating rain or shine! We have three pavilions reserved to keep us dry if a typical May shower pops up. Come prepared for a Colorado spring day&hellip;we might experience several seasons. Dressing in layers is highly recommended. In the event of truly severe weather, we will send out an update the morning of the event.

Kevin Lang

Kevin (Lono) Lang, age 53, of Parker, Colorado, passed away on March 6, 2026. Kevin was the devoted partner, friend, and spouse of Renee Houston-Lang for 30 wonderful years.

A human being of immense passion, Kevin was an avid guitar player, a gifted writer, and a dedicated civic volunteer. His commitment to his community was lifelong and selfless. For 25 years, he served the American Red Cross, alongside his work with the Elbert County Emergency Response Team, Humane Colorado, Junior Achievement, and most recently, Nourish Meals on Wheels.

Helping others was Kevin’s calling. He was everyone's cheerleader and always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Whether he was risking his safety to set up emergency shelters, supporting families after a fire, fixing dog kennels, or delivering a meal with a kind word, he brought joy and humor to every life he touched.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, John Francis Lang II, and his brother, Todd Lang. His legacy of kindness lives on through his wife and partner of 30 years, Renee Houston-Lang, and the many family members who meant the world to him. He is survived by his mother, Sheila, and step-father, Roger; his brothers, John (Tina) and Scott (Leah); and his step-siblings, Chris and Laine. Always a beloved uncle, he will be dearly missed by his nephews Jack, Matthew, Brayden, and Evan, and great-nephew Warren. He will also be fondly remembered by the Houston family nieces and nephews: Luke, Jake, Jessica, Harrison, Clayton, Sam, Nick, Alyssa, and Sarah; and great-nieces Mia, Adele, and Madoline.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 at Castlewood Canyon in Franktown, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Kevin’s generous spirit, please consider a donation to Nourish Meals on Wheels, an organization Kevin held close to his heart.
